Michael Mauritz

Michael’s passion for outdoor exploration and photography underpins his commitment to protecting open spaces. He has traveled the world to visit remote locations, hone his nature photography skills, and capture images that will hopefully inspire others to explore the outdoors.
Michael was born and raised in Connecticut, graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in civil engineering, and spent several years in Utah before relocating to middle Tennessee in 2013. He is a Senior Vice President of Intelligent Transportation Systems at TransCore, an international company headquartered in Nashville that focuses on technology integration for transportation systems and traffic management. Michael currently resides in Williamson County with his wife Kim and any number of cats—the couple has fostered over 30 cats and kittens throughout the years.
