Kristen Hanratty is the Director of Private Land Conservation at TennGreen Land Conservancy. Kristen was born and raised in the sunshine state, but her wayfaring ways have encouraged her to work in multiple states and within a variety of disciplines. After obtaining her degree in Environmental Science at the University of Central Florida, Kristen pursued a trail crew position with a conservation corps in Arizona. Following that, she relocated to Hawaii to focus on natural-process farming and agronomy, assisting local farmers with soil and compost management. Kristen joins TennGreen with significant land stewardship experience, after working as a steward for the New Hampshire Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. As a land steward, she managed the public preserves and assisted with prescribed burns in fire-dependent ecosystems. When she’s not exploring Tennessee, Kristen enjoys playing rugby and growing her backyard homestead.
