Geoffrey Parker is the Director of Development at TennGreen Land Conservancy. In this role, he leads our development team in connecting with people who share our passion for conservation and working together to ensure we have the resources to protect natural spaces for generations to come. Geoff started learning about land conservation as a summer camp director in Texas, where he grew up. What began with incorporating Leave No Trace principles into camp programs has grown into an enduring passion for the everyday ways anyone can protect our planet. His professional nonprofit experience ranges from his first job after college to leading a small nonprofit in Rutherford County as an executive director. Geoff has a master’s degree from Belmont University in strategic communications and leadership with an emphasis on nonprofits and a bachelor’s degree from the Virginia Military Institute in economics and business. When he is not working, you will find Geoff, his wife Nancy, and their son Liam riding bikes on their favorite greenway, working in his vegetable garden, or at the lake.
Geoff’s favorite hiking spot: Cedars of Lebanon State Park
