
Alice Hudson Pell is the Executive Director of TennGreen Land Conservancy, Tennessee’s oldest accredited statewide land trust. Since joining the organization in 2014, she has held several leadership roles, including Director of Development and Associate Director, before being appointed Executive Director in December 2022. In her current role, Alice oversees TennGreen’s strategic and operational initiatives, guiding its mission to conserve land where people and nature can thrive.
Alice holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Institutional Advancement from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Agnes Scott College. Her dedication to conservation and community engagement has been recognized through multiple honors, including being a four-time finalist for the Nashville Emerging Leader Award in the Environment category. She is actively involved in various organizations, serving in leadership roles with the Junior League of Nashville and Metro Nashville’s Parks & Recreation Board. Additionally, she serves as a Board member for Big River Park Conservancy and on the advisory board of the Cumberland Trails Conference.
Under Alice’s leadership, TennGreen has expanded its outreach and conservation efforts, emphasizing inclusivity and strategic growth. She is passionate about building partnerships and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization, ensuring that TennGreen continues to protect Tennessee’s natural landscapes for future generations.
