In 2019, TennGreen, EnSafe Inc., and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers partnered to preserve nearly 250 acres of wetland habitat with a conservation easement. This property, located along the Loosahatchie River near Bartlett, Tennessee, will remain open space and wetland habitat limiting residential, industrial, and commercial development in perpetuity.

With more than 325 species of birds utilizing the Mississippi River Flyway, the Loosahatchie Wetland provides significant stopover habitat for migrating birds and scenic views for birdwatchers! Located along Austin Peay Highway, this unique property runs along the Loosahatchie River for more than one mile, and it’s a part of the proposed pathway for the Loosahatchie River Greenway in the Mid-South Regional Greenprint 2015/2040.
