In 2013, TennGreen acquired approximately 8 acres of land along the Cane Creek River after the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) alerted it to an impending auction.
Due to the proximity to Fall Creek Falls State Park and the biodiversity of Cane Creek, TDEC was interested in managing the property. TennGreen purchased the property in May 2013 and transferred it to TDEC the following year.
TennGreen has expanded Fall Creek Falls State Park several more times over the years, including by conserving land at Buzzard’s Roost/Millikan’s Overlook (419 acres), Mullican (838 acres), Haston Point Gulf (84 acres), and more.
