It’s here! The 2025 Hike-a-Thon begins April 1st, and we can’t wait to hit the trails, streams, and bluffs with you.

Unlike any other event in the Southeast, the Hike-a-Thon event supports the protection of Tennessee’s lands and waters through the work of TennGreen Land Conservancy. This April-long event encourages participants to get outdoors and enjoy nature from anywhere—all while raising funds, winning prizes, and building awareness of ways to protect the lands they love alongside TennGreen.

This includes many individual and team competitions for hikers, paddlers, trail runners, climbers, off-road bikers, nature photographers, and more. The event is open to everyone, including experienced outdoor adventurers and those simply looking for a fun way to spend more time outside this spring. So many of our incredible members, friends, and families have registered already, and we can’t thank you enough. And the best part? It’s all completely free to participate!

As Nashville’s own NewsChannel 5 says in their Hike-a-Thon coverage, “The month-long competition in April is free for you to register and organizers say you can participate from anywhere in the world. The conservancy started collecting donations March 1st and so far, they’ve raised more than $190,000 of their $230,000 goal. The money will go towards conserving land across Tennessee for wildlife corridors, critical habitat, and public benefit.”
