In 2021, TennGreen Land Conservancy and its supporters conserved thousands of private and public lands across Tennessee and beyond—from the bottomland wetlands of West Memphis to the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
Together, we
- expanded beloved outdoor destinations, like South Cumberland State Park, Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park, Cedars of Lebanon State Park, and Big River Park;
- protected a rare and secret archaeological site;
- established and expanded local parks in both Nashville and Cookeville;
- twice expanded Erwin National Fish Hatchery;
- permanently protected Tennessee’s forests, farmlands, and other significant landscapes with four new conservation easements;
- protected eight and a half miles of land along streams to ensure clean water for people, fish, and wildlife;
- restored grassland savanna, including the prescribed burning of 210 acres, planting of 55,000 shortleaf pines, and treatment of 540 hemlock trees;
- and protected essential habitat for wildlife, including four rare species (tangerine darter, coppercheek darter, Alabama lampmussel, and silverling).
